Microsoft and Nortel Award Nexus with Unified Communications Accreditations
Nexus is extremely pleased to announce that the company has been awarded Unified Communications accreditations by Microsoft and Nortel. These two new industry accreditations acknowledge the technical competence and proven track record that Nexus has demonstrated by deploying innovative customer solutions that utilise this important new technology platform.
Unified communications (UC) is an industry description used to describe all forms of telephone calls and cross-media functions controlled by an individual user for both business and social purposes.
Nexus firmly believes that UC technologies offer customers greater choice in how their communications and collaboration software is delivered, managed and maintained. Microsoft Unified Communications Solutions Competency
The Nexus Technical Team has worked hard to meet the criteria that Microsoft set for its partners to achieve the Unified Communications Solutions competency. Nexus had to submit successful customer projects for review and demonstrate the required expertise in planning, deploying and managing UC solutions that integrate Microsoft Unified Communications Server and Microsoft Exchange Server.

Nortel SMB Unified Communications Accreditation
Nexus has continued to expand its communications solutions portfolio by working closely with Nortel to attain their new SMB Unified Communications Accreditation.
The Nexus Technical Team are now ready to deploy Nortel's highly anticipated Software Communication System 500 (SCS 500), which is an easy to manage, user-friendly, unified communications solution targeted at SMBs with 30-500+ users. This SIP-based product leverages next generation features and provides employee with enhanced collaborative applications such as video and voice conferencing, unified messaging, call forwarding (find me/follow me), auto attendant, and automatic call distribution (ACD).
The launch of SCS 500 follows Nortel's close working relationship with Microsoft to produce next-generation Networks and pursue the concept of UC.
